Bassoonist Isaac Erb is a native of New Hampshire. He has performed with orchestral and chamber ensembles in the New England area including the Boston Philharmonic, Portland Symphony, Atlantic Symphony, Greater Manchester Choral Society, and Orchestra of Indian Hill. He is also a returning guest of the orchestras at MIT, Tufts, and Boston University. In 2016 Isaac was a semifinalist in the Boston Woodwind Society’s first Matthew Ruggiero International Bassoon Competition. He is a member of the Boston based woodwind quintet Hathor Winds, with whom he performed as quarterfinalist at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in 2015 and 2016. Isaac is the principal bassoonist and secretary of the CØDA Ensemble, a newly founded non-profit group exploring contemporary programming and chamber works. Isaac holds a bachelor’s degree from The Peabody Institute, where he studied with Phillip Kolker; a master’s from Boston University, studying with Richard Ranti; and a graduate performance diploma from the Boston Conservatory with Margaret Phillips.
